This Friday and Saturday, we're running an Open House for new members

(i.e. only where we have vacancies - not all groups):

Fri 4/18: 5-6pm 
Sat 4/19: 10:45-11:45am 

This will impact our practice schedule in the following way: 

Fri 4/18: 
National-Sectional group: 3:30-5pm (will end early). 
Age Group: 5-6pm; dryland 4:30-5pm 
Open House: 5-6pm 

Sat 4/19: 
Open House: 10:45-11:45am 
Age Group:  11:45am-1:30pm (pushed back 1 hour) 
Sen Prep: 11:45-1:30pm (pushed back 1 hour) 
Age Group 2:  11:45am-1:30pm (pushed back 1 hour)

To All NJ Wave Parents and Volunteers:

We have one major change to next week's hosted meet. This change only affects the Saturday Schedule. Sunday's Schedule will run as originally planned. On Saturday, March 8th, the Boys will swim in the morning session with an 8:00am warm-up and 9:05am start. The Girls will swim in the afternoon session with a 1:00am warm-up and an approximate 2:20pm start. We had to do this in order to reduce the amount of interference that our meet would have on the morning classes at BCC. We have over 300 girls entered and due to our limited classroom and Marshalling space, we have to run Saturday's girl's session in the afternoon when most of BCC's classes are finished. This change is Official and will only be for Saturday's Session.

Although Saturday's sessions are swapped, all parents are to work their original assignment. For example, if you were scheduled to work Saturday morning, you must still work Saturday's morning session (regardless of the group swimming). No changes can be made, it took months to organize.

On Monday, January 21: Bergen Community College is closed due to Martin Luther King Day.

The following changes will occur to the schedule:

1) No AM practice for the Nat'l-Sect group.

2) No PM practice for Sen Adv, Senior 3, or Senior Prep.

3) Nat'l-Sect group will swim at Lodi from 6-7:30pm (it will be a little tight w/ space).

4) All other practices remain as scheduled

Dear Membership:

Although I was going to send the schedule changes out for the next few Saturdays, one week at a time, I received several requests asking for the changes sooner rather than later for planning purposes. I hope it is not confusing. Here are the changes for the next few Saturdays:

Saturday 12/1/07 (Bergen Community):

National-Sectional / Senior Advanced: REGULAR SATURDAY PRACTICE TIME.

Senior Prep: 9:30-11:15am in pool; 11:15-11:45am dryland.

Age Group: 9:30-11:15am in pool; no dryland.

Senior 3: 10:30-11:15am-dryland; 11:15am-12:15pm - pool.

We will be making some schedule changes for the winter season:

1) Beginning Thurs, 11/8: Senior Prep will practice in the afternoon at Bergen Community from 3:45-6pm rather than the evening. Senior 3 will be moving Thursday afternoon to the evening from 7:30-9pm at Garfield boys Club

2) In addition, we have a few other schedule changes. We lose our Wed night time slot at Bergen Community with the start of High School swimming. So we have to use alternate facilities. In addition, there are a few other minor changes to the schedule. PLEASE REVIEW THE SCHEDULE CAREFULLY. Other than the Thurs afternoon change which begins this Thurs 11/8; the remainder of the changes will begin on MONDAY 11/19.

Dear Swimmers and Parents:

I hope all of you had an enjoyable vacation and are anxious to begin the upcoming season. We have been working hard to prepare for this coming winter and are looking forward to an exciting year.

During our Open House / Tryout period, we will operate on a reduced schedule. Due to an overwhelming demand, we can no longer guarantee spots on the team for previous team members (some may be wait listed). The temporary Open House schedule (not the regular schedule) for September 4 to September 8 will be as follows beginning on Tuesday, September 4 (all practices at this time at Bergen Community College):

Tuesday 9/4/07: 3:30-5:30pm National, Senior Advanced and Senior Prep

Wednesday 9/5/07: 4-5pm Tryouts – New Swimmers only

Thursday 9/6/07: 3:30-4:30pm Age Group, Age Group 2, Senior 3

4:15-5:15pm Advanced Novice, Novice

Friday 9/7/07: 3:30-5:00pm National/Sectional, Senior Prep and Senior Advanced

All swimmers are to attend practice with their past seasons practice group during the Open House / Temporary schedule period (no exceptions unless otherwise specified by the head coach). This period will serve as a tryout and group placement period for previous team members. If you are not showing up to practice during the Open House schedule, we will assume that you are not coming back to the team (unless you contact the Head Coach otherwise), and you will not be placed in a group. Group placement decisions will be made by the entire staff on September 8 and you will be notified by phone on Sunday, Sept. 9; please do not ask the staff about these decisions as NO decisions will be made until September 8. The regular pool schedule will be available during the first week of practice and will begin on Monday, September 10 for most groups. Once you are notified of your group placement (unless wait listed), you should send in your first payment immediately before Monday, September 17. Please note the enclosed payment schedule and handouts. You now have the option of paying by credit card or check.
